Becoming an official is easy! Officiating for most people begins at local state meets, and for some, it can take them all the way to the Olympic Games!
Officiating with Athletics SA is very flexible. Officials can attend as many or as few events based on their preferences. Even if you are only able to come to one or two events per year or help out once a month, there is an opportunity for you to be a part of the South Australian Athletics community.
Athletics SA can partner you with experienced mentor officials to help you with learning and upskilling and helping you to achieve your offficiating goals.
Athletics SA officials are regularly employed by schools for athletics meets. Officials earn $95 for the event with photo finish judges earning $150.
You don't need to be a Word Athletics Official to officiate at interclub but if you want to become one follow the steps below. Athletics SA can assist in providing opportunities for you to utilise the knowledge you have learned through officiating.
