New Club Application

The interest in athletics in South Australia continues to grow and the investment in facilities over recent years is showing dividends. Our affiliated club in the northern suburbs, Northern Districts, has relocated to the new Bridgestone Athletics Centre and has increased its member base with Athletics SA to almost 90 while its Little Athletics numbers have been boosted to over 200. Ingle Farm Little Athletics and Salisbury Little Athletics Centres are also based or hold meets at Bridgestone.

Salisbury Little Athletics Centre has applied to Athletics SA for affiliation stating their intention to do so being the creation of “a smoother pathway for our current little athletes to continue with the sport that they love.” Salisbury Little Athletics has advised their member base is over 200 with 50 being aged 12 and above.

Athletics SA invites comment from affiliated clubs, other organisations or persons in relation to the application, the details of which are shared below.  The Board of Athletics SA shall consider all comments received and make a determination as to whether to accept the application for affiliation or not. The Board may seek additional information before making such a determination.
