The predicted rain stayed away for Round 3 of the Copyworld Toshiba Interclub season on Saturday, but athletes had to tackle strong wind at the SA Athletics Stadium for most of the afternoon.

Several records were collected, most notedly Keira Post's U15 F37 Long Jump National Record of 3.67m, who had to wait for the wind to die down just enough before she commenced her run up to ensure that the jump could legally be recorded.
"It is really exciting to break a State Record, it means a lot," Post said.
"The wind was really tough to deal with, but I am really happy with the result.
"I have increased my training schedule and I have seen a lot of improvement lately, I have really increased my stamina in both my Long Jump and running events."

ON THE TRACK
Post, an Adelaide Harriers athlete, also ran a 100m U15 T37 National Record on Saturday, 15.14.
Spectators enjoyed a thrilling Men's 1500m race, which saw Saints Athletics Club runner Jonathan Harris surge home from fifth place to take the win in a time of 3:58.24.
Harris seemingly ran the perfect race, sitting behind the leaders for most of the run, and centered the back straight for the final time in fifth place.
It was at the 100m mark that Harris kicked and in the blink of an eye charged past Max Spurling, Cam Clohesy, Jack Atherton and Lachlan Scott. The middle stages of the Men's 1500m race. Lachlan Scott of Flinders (1098) leads the race, ahead of Marco Els (1089) and Jack Hunter (1064).
Hills athlete, Spurling responded with a sprint to the finish, but finished second to Harris with a time of 3:58.67, while Flinders Athletics Club's Clohesy finished third, 3:59.26.
Caitlin Slobedman of Hills won the Women's 1500m race in a time of 4:43.72, holding off Port Adelaide U14 runner Tessa Ebert, 4:45.30, and Flinders U16 runner Grace Deacon, 4:47.40.
Ebert and Deacon both ran National Qualifying times in their respective age groups.
Twelve-year-old Western Athletics Club athlete Iluka-Rose Taylor continues to impress, winning Heat 1 of the Women's 400m race om 58.06 and the U14 Long Jump (4.91m), while finishing second in her U14 and running 13.30 in the first Heat of the Womem's 100m.
Jordi McMillan of the Saints Athletics Club won Heat 1 in a time of 12.32, ahead of Port Adelaide's Ellie Whittingham (12.76) and Saint Abbey Matsen (12.96).
Joshua Love claimed Heat 1 of the Men's 100m in a time of 10.91, ahead of Saints teammate Jack Doney (10.98) and Michael Moschou (11.09) of Western.
Saints made up six of the eight runners in Heat 1 of the Men's 100m, highlighting the club's current crop of local sprinters, with McMillan and Matsen also donning the Saints' blue and white.
In other efforts on the track, Western's Blake Jones ran 49.05 to claim Heat 1 of the Men's 400m, while Alex Dunn ran a lightening wind assisted 13.13 in the U16 Men's 100m hurdles (National qualifing time is 15.44).
