Athletics SA hosted the 2022 VIVA SA All Schools Games over the weekend, with the more than 400 athletes recording some outstanding results in trying conditions.

The event was held at the Bridgestone Athletics Centre in Salisbury across October 29 and 30.

Saturday's weather proved ideal for athletics, however, Sunday offered stormy conditions, heavy rain in patches, strong winds, a cold morning and humid afternoon.

Despite this, several Meet, State and National Records fell, including two National U20 Record runs from Westminster T38 athlete Angus Hincksman.

Hincksman ran 4:03.92 in the Men's U18 1500m on Saturday to equal his own National Record, and followed it up with a 1:58.75 in the 800m on Sunday. All records from the weekend are subject to ratification.
