2022 Australian Masters Athletics Championships

The 2022 Australian Masters Athletics Championships were held at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre in Brisbane from April 1 to 4.
SA Masters Athletics finished with 63 Medals - 19 Gold, 17 Silver and 27 Bronze, while several athletes on the team managed State and Australian Record performances
Sue Turner ran a Women's O60 Australian Record in the 60m Sprint, running 8.76, while Michael Cassidy ran a Men's O60 Australian Record in the 60m Sprint (7.80).
Cassidy returned home with three Gold Medals from his Men's O60 60m, 100m (12.41) and 200m (25.34).
While achieving the Australian Record in the 60m category, Cassidy also managed Men's O60 State Records in the 100m and 200m.
Turner, who finished the event with a Gold (O60 60m) and two Silver (100m and 200m) Medals, also set individual State Records in the 100m (13.95) and 200m (29.35).
Other State Records from the Championships came from Ann Jefferies in the Women's O55 Weight Pentathlon (3757), the Women's O45 4 X 100m team of Turner, Jenni Cotter, Sue Cassidy and Karen Long (56.20), and the Men's O35 4 X 100m team of Hans Van Bavel, Joe Godsell, Matthew Lovell and Hayden Harrell (55.68).
