Event Information
Welcome to the first round of the 2023 Winter Season!
Flinders AC Cross Country is part of a series of eight-point scoring events, with clubs vying for Winter Premiership Flags across the ages!
This event is short and sharp (2km - 4km) - dust off the spikes and get set for Cross Country action!
Helping to celebrate World Athletics Kids' Athletics Day on the 7th of May, 2023! (more information below).

Toilets
There are toilets within the Flinders AC clubrooms which will be available to participants and spectators.
Parking
Car parking is available at the bottom oval accessible via Flinders Drive and the Service Road or via University Drive and Sports Road.

First Aid
First Aid personnel will be on hand during the event and will be located at the finish line/admin area.
Check-in
*ALL ASA members are to wear their ASA registration numbers*
Event check-in is located near the Flinders AC clubrooms. All participants are required to check-in for their event no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
When assembling at the start line, participants are asked to place themselves in relation to their anticipated pace. That is, the fastest runners at the front and the slower runner and walkers towards the back. If you are unsure, please ask one of our friendly marshals or another event participant.
Post Event
Post-event please join our staff for a coffee at Urban Paddock Co. Located in the Flinders Train Station Plaza.
World Athletics Kids' Athletics Day
7 May 2023 is Kids’ Athletics Day! A day dedicated to celebrating children and young people across the globe participating in athletics and being active.
We believe that every child is born to move, play and explore no matter where they are in the world or their individual circumstance. We are aiming to use the power of athletics to inspire children and young people all over the world to get moving, be more active, develop their skills and confidence and to connect with sport and physical activity for life!
The 2023 Kids’ Athletics Day theme is MOVE, PLAY, EXPLORE. Whether it’s moving to get from A to B, playing athletics’ activities with friends, or exploring new skills, the aim is to encourage kids to get out there and have fun being active.
