CLUB FEE

Additional club membership fees apply (varies for each club), except in certain circumstances where it is unfeasible to join a club (located too far away, etc.) then standalone ASA membership may be available.

# MAX 3 MEETS

Base recreational members may only compete in a maximum of 3 summer competitions, including ASA Interclub, Adelaide Distance Series and ASA State Athletics Champs.

MINIMUM AGES

You can join Athletics SA from the age of 10. Parents should proceed with the knowledge that State and National-level championships' entry levels start at U13. Also note that younger athletes will not be eligible for certain events intended for older athletes e.g. distance runs, hurdles, hammer, etc.

Membership Explained

Gold Membership

Recommended for those who are likely to compete regularly. eg:8-plus competitions throughout the summer.

All Summer Competitions, Adelaide Distance Series and SA Athletics Championships throughout the summer are FREE entry.

Gold U16 Membership

Same as Gold but you must be under the age of 16 at 31st December.

Silver Membership

Recommended for those who are likely to compete at up to 8 athletics competitions throughout the summer.

This is a 'pay as you go' membership option - pay the Athletics SA Membership (+ your club fee) and then pay entry fees for events.

You can upgrade to a Gold membership during the season and any fees already paid are discounted from the Gold membership fee.

Recreational Membership

Recommended for Club training activity and for those that will only compete at up to 3 athletics competitions throughout the summer.

This is a limited ‘pay as you go’ membership option - pay the Athletics SA Membership (+ your club fee) and then pay teh entry fee for each event..

This membership may not make you eligible to represent SA at the Australian Championship Competitions. Please refer to individual championship selection policies.

If you are unsure which membership option to take out, start with a Recreational membership and you can upgrade at anytime throughout the season.
