31st March - Competition Week Information
Dear Athletes (and coaches),
Nationals is almost upon us.
Please find the Information Handbook that AA release for the Championships here.
This is a great source of information to help you navigate your time in Perth.
The final schedules have now been release for both the Juniors and Open/u20 Championships. It is important for you to review this for all of your events as there have been some fairly significant changes to event times across the week (particularly for the Open/u20 athletes).
Open/u20 - https://www.athletics.com.au/event/2025-australian-open-and-under-20-athletics-championships/
As usual, if you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch, and I will see you all in Perth!
27th March - Junior Nationals Competition Schedule
Hello Everyone,
Now that all entries are in AA have been able to finalise the schedule for nationals. This has now been published on the event website: https://www.athletics.com.au/event/2025-australian-junior-athletics-championships/
The only major change is the incorporation of a 1st round for the Men's u18 200m which will take place on Friday 4th (the day before the semi final and final) at 6.05pm.
There are numerous other changes to start times, so please make sure you take the time to review the new timetable and adjust your plans accordingly. If any of these changes causes an issue, please let me know.
Roster athletics (https://meets.rosterathletics.com/public/competitions/details/schedule?id=25828) will become the main point of reference for start times, start lists and results. You can also download the app for your phone. Just beware that there is an option to select whether you want to see the times in your local time zone or the event time zone, so if it seems like all the times are out and your event is now 2.5hrs earlier double check what time zone is selected.
Cheers,
Kurt Olsen
22nd March
Dear Athletes (and Coaches),
Welcome to the SA team competing at the 2025 Australian Athletics Championships.
All entries have now gone into AA to be processed, and the start lists will come out in the next week or so.
Attached is some information for you all to review, please also take the time to understand the Technical Regulations for the event as found on the AA website (https://www.athletics.com.au/event/2025-australian-junior-athletics-championships/).
If you would like to be involved with a relay and haven't received an email from me about them yet, can you please reach out and let me know.
Tom from Front Runner physiotherapy will be supporting Team SA over the duration of the Championships. As usual, performance will be the priority when it comes to treatment and support from Tom. Can you all please be mindful of each other and only book in what you know you will need. We will once again prioritize those with acute injuries and those who are about to compete.
If you are currently seeing a physio and know that you are going to need support during the Championships I suggest you get in touch with Tom beforehand, so he has time to understand your situation and the treatment approach that works for you. You can email Tom at: tom@frontrunnersports.com.au
We will once again use an online booking sheet which can be found here:

I am looking forward to what should be a great couple of weeks in Perth.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch.
