Membership for the 2023-24 Athletics Season is NOW OPEN. The summer season will kick off with our Season Opener on Saturday October 14 at the SA Athletics Stadium. This event provides a fabulous opportunity to celebrate the new season – we also encourage bringing your friends along to give athletics a go!

Knox Park upgrades officially underway

The temporary fences are up and construction is around the corner for Knox Park’s Multi-use Sports Park, which is beginning extension renovations this August. It is the next step in a highly anticipated plan for Knox Park, which changed classification from ‘reserve’ to ‘sportsground’ following community consultation in June 2018.

South Australian athletes taking on the world, Part 2. South Australian athletes continue to represent the state proudly overseas, with the 2023 World Athletics Championships beginning in August among a number of competitions that see SA athletes take on the world’s best. Four South Australian athletes are set to represent Australia in this year’s championships in Budapest, Hungary, with Australia sending an impressive team of 67 athletes.

2022-23 State Track and Field Championships

Athletics SA hosted the South Australian Track and Field Championships on Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th March 2023 for the first time on the new track. Many South Australian athletes went into the weekend with the aim of being crowned State Champion and to qualify for both National and International competitions.
