Athletics SA's Brayden Davidson has jumped out of his skin in Rio overnight to take the gold medal in the T36 long jump competition and the Rio Paralympics.
Davidson, coached by Lynn Larsen, produced a best jump of 5.62m to clinch the gold medal in a countback after Brazilian jumper Rodrigo Parreira da Silva also jumped 5.62m. Davidson's second best jump was a mere 2cm further than Parreira da Silva which gave him the gold!
Davidson's 5.62m was an 11cm personal best and also a Paralympic record for the 18 year old from Woodcroft.
