Athletics South Australia (ASA) is a state sporting organisation which is responsible for the administration of athletics (track and field, running, race walking, and trail running) in South Australia. ASA is the South Australian member body of Athletics Australia which is in turn a member of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Athletics SA has 15 affiliated clubs and administers a large range of services for members and non-members, including development programs and the provision of upwards of 50 events annually ranging from local track and field competitions, to fun runs, to regular national and (in some cases) international events.
The position of Events Manager is a crucial leadership position within ASA. The role reports directly to the CEO. The Event Manager will be responsible for the planning, successful delivery, and subsequent post event evaluation of ASA's entire suite of events. The Event Manager will play a lead role in ensuring an inclusive and enjoyable customer experience for all and look to continually improve the delivery and overall consumer experience of Athletics SA's core product offerings, including those delivered through its sub-brand, Running SA.
The successful applicant will have proven event management experience, strong attention to detail, be brilliant at managing relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, and have impeccable time management skills. Working in a fast paced environment, you thrive in working on multiple events simultaneously. You are a good delegator and an excellent communicator who is able to work effectively and efficiently with a dedicated group of paid staff and volunteers. You are also highly skilled at managing budgets, as well as collating and utilising data to inform decision making. Knowledge and experience in athletics will be highly regarded.

- Due to the nature of the position, regular work outside of normal office hours, including weekends will be required. A flexible working arrangement, including time in lieu is available
